“Nikki and I were always on the same wavelength when it came to feeding family and friends: we both get a kick out of giving traditional recipes a new twist, using a few star ingredients to add an element of surprise to a familiar dish that will wow everyone who eats it.”

Gary Rhodes

“The summer lunch for 16 that Nikki made for us was a knockout. She managed to balance the need for something quite light for a main course (her special miso salmon, which is to die for) accompanied with delicious and varied salads, with the need for nibbles and extras to keep the chaps (and girls and children) happy. The chorizo puffs were more-ish enough, but the cheese biscuits to go with the cold pepper soup were quite the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. And she had the sense to make stacks of them. The service she provides just couldn’t be bettered. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.”

Roger Eastman, Clapham, London SW4

“[The] lunch party food was stunning and perfect in its fresh simplicity – well done Nikki for cooking it and you, Roger, for asking her to!”

Just to say thank you for the brilliant Indian cookery day today. I feel inspired! I am actually going to try and repeat the whole thing on Sunday!

Kate Pattinson, Oxfordshire

“Thank god for Nikki. She popped round, transformed my kitchen from a microwave-only zone to a bubbling cauldron of culinary delights and served a fabulous meal. She even taught me how to do a few things so I can fend for myself a bit. Though when it tastes this good I think I’ll leave the cooking to Nikki! Can’t recommend highly enough!”

Tom Fickling, London N4

“Nikki’s food is utterly divine. From incredible fish curries and to-die-for-cakes to succulent, divinely-spiced Moroccan lamb, her dishes are guaranteed to get your taste buds singing. Her recipes have become many of my own staple favourites. She teaches and writes with charm, simplicity and style and I would recommend her food and cookery classes to everyone. Whether you want to learn some new dishes, treat a friend or partner to fun morning’s cookery lessons, or just have an amazing home-cooked meal delivered direct to the door, you won’t regret a mouthful!”

Amy Fetzer, SW20

“Choose Nikki when you want to celebrate at home with friends, family or colleagues and to eat food cooked with care and distinctive ingredients – food to enjoy and take an interest in. She serves robust meals with plenty of flavour that men love – and Nikki has a great talent for reclaiming traditional English puds, with a bit of sharpness as well as sweetness.”

John Gaisford, London NW3

“Nikki, What can I say… a very big Thank you for a wonderfully delicious lunch. Highlights were the first course (need to learn the dressing), walnut bread (universal acclamation), main course… clean plates and choc pud… silence followed by cries of delight!”

Anne Ferguson, Cookham

“Thank you for such a lovely day! The Indian cookery session was a real treat and I’m looking forward to using all the recipes to impress my friends (a big step up from the usual student-y fare we serve up). Good luck with the business!”
